It is given to few to successfully reconcile a rural villa with a contemporary, modern look.

In this garden with pool house, simple shapes were combined with natural materials such as wood and natural stone. All this was topped with a sauce of off-whites: white tones that refer to cotton, loam, sand and - why not - champagne. In this project, the rural surroundings and the accompanying vista get the attention they deserve.

So no bright colors in the garden, no garish shapes or striking combinations. Both the garden and the pool house all benefit from a soothing palette of wood, stone and linen. The retro stripes in the decorative pillows make a nice link with the black shutters on the windows, but also with the interior of this villa, where white walls and black steel symbolize the successful modernization of the property.

Texture adds life to an interior, in this case in the form of a plant pot with somewhat whimsical shape and a hand-knotted footstool. Lying back or enjoying an aperitif with friends, this seating area next to the pool can easily be transformed into various functions. The contrast was also extended to the smallest details of this realization, with dark piping around the cushions in the dining chairs.
Enjoyment is central in every area of this garden. A cozy sitting area on the terrace, a sofa next to the pool and extremely comfortable chairs at the dining table in the pool house. But enjoyment is also possible in solitude, with a good book for example. The wicker lounge chair with boulder table form a clear resting point in the pool house, a place of reflection where art and design come together in an almost magical way.
