Rest does not rust.

The Montevideo Residence, an architectural statement in Corten steel. The weathered, rich texture of the façade serves as the starting point for a story about contrast and balance.

Interior designer Britt Van Namen called on us to transform the various terraces of this apartment into places where the urban energy of Antwerp gives way to serenity. A challenge we gladly accepted: how do you bring softness into dialogue with such a powerful, robust environment?

Corten steel demands a response, not an echo. We therefore opted for materials that do not compete with the façade, but rather complement it and, where necessary, soften it.

Various facades were covered with pots from Atelier Vierkant and carefully selected plants. Not as decoration, but as a connection to nature that is so often lacking in the city.
